2023 Pemberley Pinot Noir

2023 Pemberley Pinot Noir @ $35.00/bottle

Singing of Pemberton, this pinot could be from nowhere else. Brambly red cherry, strawberry and green olive direct the aromas, with hints of crushed coffee, white spice and white chocolate playing minor but significant roles onstage. On the palate, this is an elegant pinot, moving down the light and fine path, rather than full and dense. Not quite fine-boned, this has an elegant structure that holds all the intense fruit together, the tannins are finely woven throughout. Through the finish, the pinot characters linger and morph over mulberry, black cherry, satsuma plum and liquorice. While this may age gracefully over the next five to ten years, the suggestion is to drink it now to take full advantage of the interplay between the bright berry fruit and delicate spices on display.
