The pearl in Pemberley’s crown, the 2017 Sparkling Lustre, has claimed best wine in show at the RSM Southern Forests and Valleys Wine Show.
Crafted from chardonnay and pinot noir, this lustre was born out of a challenging 2017 season, when unseasonal summer conditions prompted a change of direction.
“We chose to harvest early and turn most of the crop into sparkling wine,” Pemberley owner David Radomiljac said. “As farmers we have to be adaptable, and this wine is proof of that. What began as a stressful season has given us a wine that just doesn’t disappoint.”
The wine has already been recognised for its quality, taking out best sparkling in 2022, and its continued success underlines Pemberley’s reputation for crafting wines with character and longevity.

For the Radomiljac family, Pemberley is about more than just wine. They have been at the heart of the local industry for many years, with Monica and Lisa Radomiljac serving on the Wine Industry Southern Forests committee, and the family consistently collaborating with neighbouring producers and mentoring newcomers to the region.
With the cellar door set to reopen in November, Pemberley is preparing to showcase not only the 2017 Sparkling Lustre but also a line-up of new vintages. “We can’t wait to welcome people back,” Ms Radomiljac said. “We’ve worked hard behind the scenes this year, and we’re excited to share a summer of Pemberley with our community and visitors alike.”
